Debarker Operator

We havea new Debarker operation on the port at Marsden Point.
The Debarker is a large piece of machinery that receives logs at one end and strips the bark off the logs to then exit the logs at the other end of the plant.
Located in a control room the operator will monitor the progress of logs through the Debarker and take action should there be any jams or equipment failure.
The successfulcandidate for this position will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes: * Experience in a forestry or sawmill environment would be desirable but not essential * Computer Literacy * Strong Health and Safety focus * Reliability and can work unsupervised * Good communication skills The hoursof work will be 40 per week, worked Monday to Friday.
There may on occasion be a requirement to work weekends, depending on business volumes.
The successfulapplicant will be required to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen, as well as criminal records checks.
