Details of the offer

We believe that everyone should be able to actively contribute to their community and thrive. Our team of 900 stretches from Taupo to Whangarei, providing critical health and social services on a day to day basis. We are renowned for our core services Enliven, Family Works, Lifeline and Shine.
Everything we do is informed by our purpose to enable our clients to have A Better Life; and our values of Hope, Trust & Integrity, Compassion, Partnership; and Tangata Whenua.
Our Enliven Day Service team ensures that our older generations and those living with disabilities have access to community-based programmes, focused on high quality, interesting activities that matter, in a safe and enriching environment. Our aim is that our clients enjoy a life of independence while participating actively in their community.
As a Day Service Support Worker, you are responsible for the care and support of clients attending our local Day Service. This includes preparing and delivering the activities, helping our clients participate in a meaningful way that suits them, and associated administration and tasks to enable the day to occur in a streamlined and effective manner. Other tasks can include driving clients to and from the programme, and assisting with the preparation and distribution of meals.
We'd love to hear from you if you are a Support Worker with experience organising and facilitating group activities for older people. In addition, you will have:

A Full New Zealand Driver's License (sorry but we cannot accept any international licenses).
Excellent communication skills including clear spoken English.
A caring manner and positive "Can do" attitude.
Able to juggle multiple tasks and adjust to changing circumstances.
Our people are critical to our success. You can look forward to feeling included and valued for your contribution. Working in our team means you will have access to:
Guaranteed consistent hours and recognition for long service.
Ongoing award winning training programmes and e-learning packages.
Great equipment including a Samsung tablet/device for work use.
External/expert counselling and support through our Employee Assistance programmes.
Wellbeing support and resources for you and your family.
Discounted services and products through our BOOST programme.

Please contact us at ****** if you have any questions or would like a copy of the Role Profile.
E hika ma, Tono a mai! (What are you waiting for?) Together, we can create meaningful change and enhance lives in our community. Join us on this rewarding journey.
