Halter organization is currently seeking a data technician to join their team in Auckland, New Zealand. The ideal candidate has the ability to provide quality control to uphold the highest standards of all mapping that is completed by Halter's mapping team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range from $56,000-$110,000 per year. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in geography, environmental science, or computer science. The candidate is responsible for managing the timely and high-quality delivery of maps in our deployment queues.
Qualifications for Data Technician:

Bachelor's degree in geography, environmental science, or computer science.
Certificate in geographic information systems.
Proficiency in database management, data analysis, and software development.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mapping and geographic information systems.
Experience in providing technical support, preferably in mapping.

Responsibilities for Data Technician:

Collect, verify, and update spatial data from various sources.
Maintain and update the geographic information system database and ensure data integrity.
Perform data quality checks and corrections.
Analyze spatial data to identify patterns and trends.
Produce custom maps and spatial analysis reports based on user requirements.
