An exciting opportunity has opened up to join our Investment team as a Data Insights and Reporting Analyst.
This position is a permanent part-time 0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week.
Reporting to the GM Investment/Deputy Chief Executive, the Data Insights and Reporting Analyst is responsible for collecting and analysing data, crafting insightful narratives about Taranaki's economic and social landscape, and ensuring all reporting aligns with VT's performance framework and shareholder requirements.
Key responsibilities include working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders, providing valuable intelligence that informs regional strategies, emphasising data-driven stories through tools such as Taranaki Trends and the Regional Intelligence website.

Minimum Requirements Education and Experience : Experience in data analysis, reporting, communications or business intelligence roles.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in data tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and familiarity with CRM systems and economic reporting standards.
Analytical and Narrative Skills : Strong analytical skills to synthesise data into clear insights, with excellent communication skills for narrative-driven reports.
Interpersonal Skills : Ability to work collaboratively across teams and demonstrate cultural competency and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnerships.
Organisational Skills : Highly organised, adaptable, proactive, and focused on continuous improvement in reporting processes.
