The opportunity
We're on the hunt for two awesome Data Collection Technicians to work in a fixed term contract for three months starting in November 2024. You will join our newly formed Transportation team where you will be assisting with documenting and updating the inventory of road assets, conducting field inspections to assess their condition, assigning standardized condition ratings, recording the severity of deterioration in the roads, and assisting with data within the Council's RAMM database for analysis and easy access.
To set you up for success, you'll have:
A knowledge of engineering principles.
Be studying towards an engineering degree or diploma.
A sound understanding of workplace safety.
Experience working with software packages e.g. Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and written skills.
Knowledge of the ethical responsibilities of engineers.
Full New Zealand Drivers Licence.
