Leadership opportunityLocation: High performing farm in TaupoSalary: Competitive salary, including life and health insuranceYou could be a seasoned farm manager or looking for your entry into a leadership role.The OpportunityAs the Farm Manager at Halls Dairy, you will be responsible for overseeing a high-performing dairy farm.
You'll receive support from a Business Manager to help you develop your skills in financial reporting, planning, and pasture management, if needed.Additionally, you'll have access to our specialist farm teams to assist with day-to-day operations.This is a hands-on role, so you won't hesitate to roll up your sleeves and get involved in all aspects of farm management.As a supplier to Synlait Milk, we are required to follow the 'Lead with Pride' programme, which requires regular tracking of our farming practices.Our farm undergoes annual audits, and we will rely on you to ensure we maintain the high standards demanded by the programme.We utilise agricultural technology tools like Farmax and FarmIQ, so familiarity with these software systems would be advantageous.The FarmHalls Dairy Unit is located just 20 minutes from Taupo.
The farm milks 630 cows across 266 hectares and operates a 54-bail rotary milking system.About YouYou'll bring a positive, can-do attitude, and a strong internal motivation and work ethic.
You'll be a team player and actively participate in the milking roster.You will also have:Previous experience leading, mentoring and developing a team - preferredMilk quality 1, 2 and effluent managementFirst class attitude to Health and Safety and Animal WelfareEffective communication skillsA firearms licence.BenefitsWe provide a competitive salary and a benefits package that includes health insurance, life insurance, and more.
