Reports to: Head of IT Development, General Manager
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities: The employee is to be employed as a Cybersecurity Specialist and will be responsible for the company's cybersecurity policy and procedures, as well as to ensure the websites and software applications hosted for customers are protected from security threats and with recovery plans in place. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and Implement Security Measures: • Design, implement, and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems specific to web applications.
• Develop and enforce policies for information security within the web development lifecycle.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments on software and websites.
Monitor Security Infrastructure: • Continuously monitor the company's and customers' websites for security breaches and respond to any incidents.
• Use advanced analytics and automated tools to detect and respond to web-specific threats.
Incident Response: • Develop and maintain an incident response plan tailored to web security incidents.
• Respond to security breaches involving customer websites and mitigate damage.
• Conduct post-incident analyses to prevent future web application incidents.
Security Training and Awareness: • Conduct training sessions for development staff to improve security practices in coding and deployment.
• Create and disseminate security awareness materials relevant to web application security.
Collaboration and Communication: • Collaborate with developers, IT professionals, and other departments and external users to ensure comprehensive security in software and web projects.
• Communicate security issues related to web applications to management and recommend solutions.
Stay Updated with Latest Security Trends: • Keep abreast of the latest security threats, technologies, and trends in web application security.
• Recommend and implement security enhancements based on industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CompTIA Security+.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity, particularly in securing web applications and websites.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Technical Skills and Knowledge: • Proficiency in web security technologies and tools such as:
• Web application firewalls (WAF)
• Intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) for web applications
• Anti-virus/malware solutions for web servers
• Security information and event management (SIEM) systems
• Encryption technologies specific to web applications
• Familiarity with web development frameworks and languages (e.g., PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of web protocols and architectures.
• Experience with cloud security for web applications.
Other Details: Minimum: 30 hours per week
