The team at our Tararua Road facility in Levin work hard to produce premium products. In our Cutting Floor team, our Butchers and Packers prepare pork for packing according to customerâs specifications and orders, ensuring quality, quantity and presentation.
About the role:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor you will ensure day-to-day production is efficient, safe and compliant.
Liaising with relevant people youâll work in the team of 17 to manage cutting plans, yields, and ensure the spec and top quality of product leaving site. In the fast-paced environment you need to plan ahead and prioritise to meet targets and solve problems.
Youâll understand and manage the balance between production throughput, food safety compliance, and the health, safety and wellbeing of our people.
You will be a proven leader able to motivate and inspire people. Your hands-on approach will see you on the production floor throughout each day, Butchering, supporting and influencing staff and leading by example.
You will need:
Solid experience in a Supervisory food production role Meat handling experience and knowledge of Food safety and HACCP
Proven experience leading a team to succeed and enhancing a cohesive continuous improvement culture
To be forward thinking, a proven planner with excellent time management
Attention to detail with records and compliance paperwork.
Excellent communication skills
