Our Northland Waste Kaitaia branch is on the lookout for a motivated Team Leader for our Customer Service and Administration team to join our dynamic and busy team.In this role, you will lead the team in a variety of administrative and dispatch tasks, along with responding to a high volume of customer inquiries via phone and email. We take pride in delivering prompt and efficient service, so we're looking for someone who shares our commitment to putting customers first.About the Role:Based at our Kaitaia office, this position is Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.Our focus is on providing exceptional customer service with a positive, "can-do" attitude. Your main responsibility will be to support and encourage the admin team to ensure our customers receive the best possible experience, always going above and beyond their expectations. Accuracy and great computer skills are a must, in partnership with a fantastic service mindset.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and give support to the Customer Service and Administration team.Manage the necessary reports for the Council Contract.Ensure the End of Month rollover is completed efficiently and on time.Address customer inquiries via phone and email, offering solutions with a friendly and professional attitude.Schedule bin collections for both commercial and residential customers.Prepare and organise run sheets for bin deliveries and collections.Collaborate with our Transfer Station operations and guide customers on site as needed.Support and ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures.Enter data accurately and efficiently.Perform daily, weekly, and monthly administrative tasks.About You:You have excellent self-management skills and take a systematic approach to managing workloads.You thrive in a busy environment and enjoy interacting with customers over the phone, resolving queries with patience and a customer-first mindset.You're always looking for ways to improve customer service and ensure the best outcomes for everyone.Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a natural affinity for creating order are second nature to you.You are a true team player, encouraging your team to work together and contribute positively to the team dynamic.You're comfortable working with MS Office programs, including intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Teams.Familiarity with the local Kaitaia district is a plus, as it helps when managing logistics and customer needs.Why Work with Us?At Northland Waste, we value our employees and the community we serve.
