Our friendly Customer Services team are seeking a Customer Services Officer!
Key responsibilities for this role include: Assist with the receipt and administration of building consent and resource consent documentation ensuring all forms are checked for completion and lodged without delay Coordinate and schedule building consent inspections in liaison with relevant Council staff in a timely and accurate manner.
Collate and process documentation ensuring Council's electronic and manual systems are accurate.
Provide status updates on building and resource consents and liaise with customers.
Assist to maintain our Territorial Authority databases, including Building Warrant of Fitness renewals Coordinate and issue Building Consent Documentation in liaison with other council staff.
What you will bring: NCEA or equivalent passes in English, Mathematics and Computing Well-developed computer knowledge, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as databases Demonstrated experience in dealing with the public and handling difficult situations Ability to efficiently organise and prioritise high workloads and demands of customers Exceptional written and oral communication skills What we offer: Career progression and training/development opportunities Positive focus of employee health and well-being: Workstation assessments, free flu vaccines, EAP services, 50% off eye exams, discounted gym memberships etc Kiwisaver and Superannuation Schemes Access to sick leave from day one of employment Appointment time leave: Up to 2 hours for important appointments eg.
