The Dunedin City Council (DCC) takes great pride in delivering a broad range of services to the communities of this unique and fascinating city. From our roads to recycling, public libraries and pools, water supply to walking tracks, and everything in between, DCC's people are talented and committed to serving their city.
We're looking for a permanent, full-time team member to join our Customer Services team, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week).
The Opportunity
The Customer Services team is the first point of contact for the community by phone, email, and in person. We're DCC's ambassadors, helping our residents access the right information and services they need, at the right time. We're focused on building relationships with our customers that are based on trust and tailored to our customers' changing needs.
As a Customer Services Officer, you are part of a team who provides the interface between Council and the community by assisting with enquiries, providing information, and processing payments.

About you

Experience in a customer service centre, administration, or customer-facing roles.
Skilled at listening and questioning to get to the core of an issue to provide accurate information and support.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate with a diverse range of people and convey technical information simply.
Ability to operate effectively in a highly digital environment, across a wide range of technology systems and tools.
Committed to continuous personal learning and growth.

What we offer

Salary range $55,829 - $65,681.
Annual pay progression.
Five weeks annual leave.
