Full timeBased in Taranaki, McKechnie Aluminum Solutions has been in business for over 60 years delivering high quality, extruded aluminium products to a diverse range of customers across New Zealand and Australia.Our customers fabricate and supply a wide range of products from aluminium joinery and cladding for homes and commercial buildings, box bodies for trucks, trailer components for boats, high tension power line connectors and many more industrial and consumer products.We are on the hunt for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our high performing Customer Service team.Reporting to our Customer Services Team Leader, you will play an important part in enhancing the McKechnie Aluminum Solutions brand through excellence in customer service. Your day-to-day activities will include building strong relationships with key customers by dealing with their requirements professionally and effectively.Your responsibilities will include:Promptly and professionally responding to all enquiries regarding deliveries, due dates, lead times etc.Entering and working with customer orders as needed via our IT systems.Monitoring, managing, and reporting on orders to maintain high DIFOT (Delivered In Full On Time) and working closely with Production to deliver the best Customer Service we can.Working effectively with our Key Account Managers nationwide.Key attributes are:A team player with a customer-focused approach.The ability to think two steps ahead, taking a proactive approach to all tasks.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both language and numbers.A professional phone manner and the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally.Flexibility and responsiveness are key attributes for success.Previous Customer Service experience of at least 3 years is essential.Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.This position is based at our factory in Bell Block, with standard hours being Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
