Customer Service Representative Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and making a positive impact on your community?
Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join their team.
About the Role As part of a government organisation, you will be the first point of contact for the public, providing assistance through face-to-face interactions and call centre operations.
Your role will be pivotal in addressing enquiries, resolving concerns, and delivering solutions with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities Offer courteous and professional assistance to customers in person, over the phone, and via email.
Address enquiries, complaints, and requests with a solution-focused approach.
Provide travel planning advice and support.
Stay informed about relevant policies, procedures, and services to share accurate, up-to-date information.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude, even in challenging situations.
Work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to ensure coverage during peak times.
About You To excel in this role, you'll need: Prior experience in customer service, ideally in face-to-face or call centre environments.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to actively listen and respond effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Patience, empathy, and a customer-centric mindset.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
A team-oriented attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively.
Familiarity with the Christchurch area (advantageous).
