Step into the dynamic world of ocean freight logistics with DB Schenker as a Customer Service Representative.In this fast-paced role, you'll be at the forefront of managing and enhancing customer satisfaction, streamlining operations, and identifying opportunities for improvement within our ocean freight services.
Your involvement will not only support our national efforts but also ensure we remain leaders in customer service within the global ocean freight industry.This is a full-time permanent opportunity based at our Christchurch airport site, seeking those who are keen for an immediate start!
Role Highlights:Coordinate ocean freight shipments, seamlessly integrating customer needs with our operational capabilities.Serve as the primary liaison for our customers, ensuring their needs are met with prompt updates and resolutions.Utilise customer feedback to refine and elevate our service delivery.Collaborate closely with both our internal teams and external partners to streamline processes for maximum efficiency.Maintain accurate and detailed records, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and regulatory compliance.Key aspects of this role include, but are not limited to:Update purchase orders and purchase order line information.Mandatory reporting.Maintain customer's processes and procedural daily requirements.Coordinate customer shipments as per globally implemented SOPs with Schenker origin offices, monitoring shipments until destination delivery to ensure agreed service levels are met.Develop effective relationships with the client base.Support existing and new products and services to reduce costs and increase profitability for the company.Inform clients of order status by email/phone.Resolve customer issues/queries in conjunction with responsible departments.Raise Corrective Action Requests for all ongoing issues.Ensure all responsible parties are informed and customer files updated regarding changing client requirements and/or KPIs as they occur.Produce accurate Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Reports as required.Other tasks as directed by Management.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:A solid foundation in ocean freight forwarding, backed by a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.Exceptional communication skills, enabling navigation through challenges and fostering positive relationships.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly adapt to new software.Why Choose DB Schenker?Become part of a global brand operating across 140 countries with over 76,000 colleagues.Take advantage of a variety of company perks and support programs.Thrive in a diverse and inclusive environment that fosters career growth and personal development.At DB Schenker, you're joining a global logistics network that connects the world, empowering you to shape your career by encouraging innovation and valuing your contribution.
