Competitive hourly rate, 50 hours per week, with opportunity for overtime at 1.25 of your regular rate!Opportunity for former tradesperson to transition into an office-based roles while remaining in the industryJoin a growing organisation within a fantastic tight knit team, pathway to leadership roles for the right candidate About the role: Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Customer Service Officer is responsible for direct customer service and delivery for the equipment hire business, managing customers' requests, queries and orders. Day to day, the Customer Service Officer will be the first point of contact with customers' managing inbound and outbound calls providing timely advice and solutions to meet their hire equipment needs. The Customer Service Officer will identify opportunities to upsell/cross sell products to enhance our customer experience. As part of this role, the CSO will work closely with the transport and workshop teams to co-ordinate delivery schedules to ensure the maximisation of our client's delivery trucks capacity and meet customer expectations.  About the company: Our client specialises in heavy equipment hire and engineering for the civil and construction sectors throughout NZ. Their team works collaboratively in a fun, down to earth environment where they are driven by providing their customers with excellent service to support their needs.  Day to day you will: Provide proactive customer service and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersEnsure the transport team operates efficiently and safely while managing the freight of tools to maximize profitabilitySubmit accurate paperwork and correspondence promptly and follow up on inquiries in a friendly mannerPromote a safe and productive work culture, adhering to health and safety practicesComplete all tasks to a high standard in line with company values and proceduresAssist with general hire and sales duties, as well as yard tasks as neededProvide technical solutions and recommend the best products and services for customer inquiriesContribute positively to the team environmentTo be successful in this role you will need: Come from an engineering, mechanical, excavator or hydraulic backgroundStrong written and verbal communication skillsWell-spoken with excellent active listening skillsMotivated, outgoing and compassionate personalityStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact with both internal and external customersMust have full driver's licenseClass 2/4 license, gantry crane ticket and forklift license advantageousIf you are ready to take the next step in your career, jump off the tools and move into an office based role, then APPLY today.
