With a brand-new store and impressive offerings across grocery, butchery, deli, bakery, produce, and liquor, we can't wait to open our doors to the Papamoa community!With our opening date set for November 2024, we are seeking a Customer Service Manager to join the team. As a department leader, you'll play an integral part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an awesome shopping experience for our community.The Role:As Customer Service Manager, you'll be part of the frontline team. Here, customers have the most contact with our team and we're focused on creating an awesome customer experience, which we need your help to create!Create, drive and deliver customer experiences worth driving past the competition for.You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running across checkouts, lotto, online, and customer service.Ensure all customers' needs are met and they receive the highest quality customer service.Complete rosters, conduct performance reviews, and training.Set the standards and ensure they are met day in and day out.Build relationships with the wider team and management to get the very best results.Ensure the responsible sale of alcohol.What's in it for you:We're in it together; we look after each other, back one another, communicate effectively, and work together as one winning team, every time.Prove yourself in a new store and within New World which is known for its people development and career opportunities.You'll be working with the latest technology, equipment, and processes.Drive something within a flexible and creative working environment – if there's a better way, let us know!Be part of a 100% locally owned and operated store.What are we looking for:Proven customer service experience at a supervisory level is advantageous.LCQ and/or Managers Certificate and experience selling alcohol is preferred but we can help you get it!Great people skills and people leadership potential.Reliable, honest, and a good team player.Proven customer service experience.Sound computer literacy and keen to learn and use the latest technology.Previous duty manager or sole charge experience advantageous.About New World & Foodstuffs:You know New World, PAK'n'SAVE, and Four Square, right?
