With a brand-new store and impressive offering across grocery, butchery, seafood, deli, bakery, produce and liquor, we can't wait to open our doors to the Papamoa community!With our opening date set for November 2024, we are seeking a Customer Service Assistant Manager (2IC) to join the team. As a department leader, you'll play an integral part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an awesome shopping experience for our community.As Customer Service Assistant Manager (2IC) you will:Provide a high level of customer service and assisting customers where needed.Keep on top of customer flow and ensuring appropriate numbers of checkouts are always open.Oversee our checkout and online department.Train new checkout operators as required.Handle customer enquiries and complaints appropriately and always ensuring effective interactions with customers.Ensure high presentation standards for the checkout department & store.Build relationships with the wider team and leadership to get the very best results.Deputise for the Customer Service Manager when required.What's in it for you:We're in it together, we look after each other, back one another, communicate effectively, and work together as one winning team, every time.Prove yourself in a new store and within New World which is known for its people development and career opportunities.You'll be working with the latest technology, equipment and processes.Drive something within a flexible and creative working environment – if there's a better way, let us know!Be part of a 100% locally owned and operated store.What are we looking for:Previous checkout or supervisory experience.Great people skills and people leadership potential.LCQ and/or Managers Certificate and experience selling alcohol.Reliable, honest and a good team player.Sound computer literacy and keen to learn and use the latest technology.Previous duty manager or sole charge experience advantageous.About Us:You know New World, PAK'n'SAVE and Four Square right?
