As the Custodial Lead you will play a vital role in enhancing prison operations through expert analysis and advice within the Profiling and Variable Shifts Workstream. Responsibilities include analysing current prison operations, providing senior-level advice, suggesting improvements, and collaborating with specialists to optimise performance.
This role involves working closely with site management, conducting data analysis, and maintaining relationships with key staff. You will make a meaningful impact, through a continuous improvement approach, to ensure a safe working environment within Ara Poutama Aotearoa.

Knowledge of custodial staffing models, rostering principles, and guidelines. Ability to connect strategy, policies, and daily operational delivery, effectively communicating with operational managers and staff. Skilled in gathering, assessing, and interpreting data for informed decision-making. Excellent written communication skills in plain English, delivering clear, concise, and logical messages. Effective in understanding and addressing stakeholder issues and anticipating future concerns. This role does include travel on occasion, and it is preferred that candidates hold a Full New Zealand Drivers Licence.
Utu a-tau | Salary
The mid point of the salary range is $115,546 and the full range (85%-120%) is $98,215 - $138,656. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
