We are seeking an experienced Curtain Sewing Machinist to join our team in the Manufacturing team in Penrose . This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 7.30am to 4.00pm.
As a Curtain Sewing Machinist at Harvey Furnishings, you will like variety in your work and enjoy manufacturing curtains and other products.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Manufacture curtains and other products made by Harvey Furnishings
Package and label finished goods
Participate with and support factory team to achieve targets
Sort, organise and store inventory/raw material as required
Proactively follow Health & Safety practices
It will be desirable to understand factory functions such as cutting, assembling, and packing, enjoy working in a team environment, and have the ability to help in other areas as required.
Other desirable skills/knowledge:
Experience operating/proficient in operation of various Industrial sewing machines
Understand/be able to read work sheet instructions to determine the required materials and dimensions
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of fabrics and their properties
Physically fit/stamina for handling fabrics
