About the Role
The Fono continues to transform how it provides mental health and wellbeing services for Pacific Families with continued investment in a Cultural Navigator Lead position. This valuable role provides team management opportunities combined with fulfilling frontline engagement with individuals and their whanau.
Applying cultural skills in Talanoa and relationship-based methodologies, the frontline component supports and navigates families to essential cultural and social services increasing wellbeing. Proven to extend and strengthen The Fono's integrated way of working, and includes teamwork with the Fono primary care practices, LagiOla Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Health Coaches and integrated Whanau Ora and Social Services.

West or South based, the LagiOla Cultural Navigator Lead provides leadership, coaching and mentoring to the Cultural Navigator team.
The role leads by example and includes a proportion of frontline engagement, supporting aiga to navigate and access services that will help meet wellness goals.

About you
This leadership role will be a tremendous opportunity to use your skills and drive to serve Pacific Communities in vital areas of need. You will be motivated by the opportunity to lead a group that is significantly contributing to improving Pasifika people's wellbeing needs through providing access and navigation to health, mental health and social services.
You will have:

Ideally a level 4 Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction or Health and Wellbeing training or equivalent.
A lived understanding and appreciation of Pacific cultures, values and protocols.
A positive 'can-do' attitude in developing service.
Energy to be part of and contribute to the ongoing development of the LagiOla Healthy Minds Service at The Fono and other ongoing Pacific community-driven innovations.
