CSSD Technician (Full Time), Sterile Services

We have an exciting opportunity for a CSSD Technician or a CSSD Trainee Technician. At Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora - Counties Manukau, our Central Sterilising Services Department CSSD plays a crucial role in supporting the hospital's theatres, wards, and clinics.
We do this by ensuring reusable medical devices are processed as per national and international sterilising standards.
What will you do? As a Sterile Supply Technician or Trainee Technician, you will be responsible for sterilising reusable medical devices through a four-part process, which includes cleaning, packing, sterilising, followed by the distribution of reusable medical devices.
You will need to ensure that items arriving in the unit for processing are moved through each phase in the reprocessing cycle.

Cleaning Packing Sterilisation Distribution What will you bring? As our newest team member, you don't require any prior experience, but we are looking for ambitious individuals that enjoy constant learning, as there is a mandatory component to be qualified.
There is also some flexibility required, as our role means you will work across two sites: Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park.
This means that you will be part of a reliable team that provides a 24/7 service for patients, so being able to work rostered shifts (including nights and weekends) is a must.
Our ideal candidate is fit and healthy, as the role does involve some manual labour, i.e., standing for long periods of time and heavy lifting, but don't worry you won't be standing alone.
You'll be standing with a strong team of individuals who will assist you to hit the ground running and will be there to support you.
