About the Role:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Crop Protection Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the industry crop protection programme; identifying, monitoring, addressing and communicating best practice, updates, emerging risks and opportunities.
About You:
We are looking for someone wanting to progress a technical based career that thrives in sharing knowledge and information with a wide stakeholder base. A great role for someone with operational or technical experience in either spraying, crop protection or agrichemicals. In particular, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
3+ years experience in crop protection and pest management that includes spray application and agrichemical use in the horticulture industry in New Zealand
Ability to understand and practically apply technical knowledge
Confidently communicate crop protection and agrichemical knowledge and information with growers and take pride in providing industry good outcomes
Ability to build working relationships with a range of stakeholders will be foundational to monitoring and communicating industry challenges, issues and new developments
Strong written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail with the ability to manage and keep up to date critical industry information and systems
Excellent team player able to work with a dynamic team to achieve common objectives
Qualifications in a relevant science/horticulture discipline would be advantageous
