South Canterbury is responsible for the delivery of services throughout the South Canterbury region and Timaru Hospital (131 beds) serves a district population of approximately 50,000 based in a General Hospital Facility, providing our local community with critical 24/7 services such as ED, ICU/CCU, General, Orthopaedic, & ENT Surgery, O&G, Psychiatry, Geriatrics, Oncology & Palliative Care, Internal Medicine, and Paediatrics.

For international candidates, the following will also be required:

A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working in New Zealand or a comparable health system such as Australia, the United Kingdom or Ireland.
To be eligible for Provisional General Scope of Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Self-check if you will be eligible at MCNZ Registration.
