'Te Whatu Ora' translates to 'the weaving of wellness'; which is what we are all about in our holistic and cross-disciplinary delivery of world-class healthcare to 5 million Kiwis across the country.South Canterbury is responsible for the delivery of services throughout the South Canterbury region and Timaru Hospital (131 beds) serves a district population of approximately 50,000 based in a General Hospital Facility, providing our local community with critical 24/7 services such as ED, ICU/CCU, General, Orthopaedic, & ENT Surgery, O&G, Psychiatry, Geriatrics, Oncology & Palliative Care, Internal Medicine and Paediatrics.Integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect and excellence are at the heart of everything we do.
