Job Summary We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
This role is crucial in supporting the financial health of the organisation and requires a proactive approach to resolving payment issues.
Duties Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely payments from clients.
Conduct credit checks on new and existing customers to assess creditworthiness.
Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email to follow up on outstanding invoices.
Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions in accounting software.
Analyse financial data to identify trends in payment behaviours and potential risks.
Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts and collection activities for management review.
Provide exceptional phone etiquette while handling client inquiries and disputes.
Experience The ideal candidate will possess: Previous experience in financial services or a related field, preferably within credit control or accounts receivable.
Proficiency in accounting software and data entry skills to manage financial records accurately.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial information effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on maintaining professional relationships.
Experience in telemarketing or customer service is advantageous but not essential.
