Offering both NCEA and International Baccalaureate programmes, our special character school was founded by parents more than 50 years ago. This role is responsible for managing our Creative Studio and all related equipment to support studio learning and media creation, whether working with the green screen or out and around the school. This includes media shoots, live production recording, editing and post-production of audio-visual content. The manager supervises students and groups and provides learning opportunities for both students and staff on equipment and processes. This role also supports the creation of media content for the school's communications and marketing team.
Reporting to the Director of Business Services, the hours are Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 4.30 pm during term time, with some requirements to work after hours at events and productions and working an additional week each term break for planning and projects.
This role requires someone who has:
Experience as an audio-visual technician and video makerKnowledge of cameras and camera equipmentExperience with relevant software for video editing and live streaming e.g. Adobe, Camtasia, VimeoA qualification to fly videography drones in designated areasExceptional organisation and administrative skillsExperience and desire to work with children and youthGreat sense of humour!Kristin provides the following benefits:
