About the roleReporting to the Marketing Manager and working closely with the wider Member Engagement team, the Digital Content Advisor will take the lead on delivering the social media strategy. A key part of this will be creating unique and compelling content across various channels to engage members and enhance public awareness of the critical role local government plays in Aotearoa.In this role, you will:Develop and deliver a creative and innovative social media strategy.Collaborate with the wider LGNZ team to identify and create communication opportunities.Create both short and long-form content for LGNZ's social media, website, and newsletters.Use your content writing and digital expertise to showcase LGNZ's unique programmes and ensure their success.Update and enhance the LGNZ website and assist in preparing and presenting newsletters and EDMs.Bring fresh ideas, innovative thinking, and creativity to boost the overall effectiveness of the marketing team and enhance the value they bring to the overall success of LGNZ.About youWe're looking for a creative and expert storyteller who offers:2-3 years of relevant experience in copywriting, marketing, communications, or social media.A deep understanding of social media dynamics and trends.Excellent plain English communication skills with a knack for making complex ideas clear (and fun!).Strong verbal communication skills and the confidence to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and members.A love for fast-paced, ever-changing environments, thriving when adapting quickly to new situations and challenges.An innovative, creative mindset with the courage to think outside the box and proactively pursue new ideas.A proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment while taking ownership for multiple tasks and projects.What's in it for you?LGNZ takes the opinions and needs of their people seriously.
