This position is a new one for our growing school and is fixed for the 2025 year as we develop the role and ensure we have the ongoing staffing and funding to make this a permanent position moving forward.
The position will not have a set classroom teacher role and will instead be working across our senior school hub, being a skilled coach who works with groups, provides release, and is able to quickly and easily utilise their adaptive expertise to flexibly meet the needs of our learners and our unique curriculum.
A desire to become part of our unique and beautiful kura and community is essential, and as such, there is a school house available to rent for the right applicant.
This position comes with 2 units that focus on leadership of the various aspects of our unique curriculum, and there is potential for a cultural leadership unit if the applicant has the necessary skills in this area.
Minimum Requirements: Experience in the following areas is a must: Success managing a team of teachers High technology skills Expert literacy and numeracy pedagogies and experience Dedication to individualising students' learning journeys The following areas are strongly encouraged as strengths or a desire to build these: Technology skills such as artistic and creative NZ native flora and fauna knowledge Forest schools pedagogies A visit to our school is highly recommended prior to applying so that you can understand what makes us unique and what we are looking for.
