This role is integral to our mission, ensuring seamless service operations, cost management, customer support, and staff development.Key Responsibilities:Service Operations:Document service and installation actions through forms, reports, and inspections.Manage all logistical aspects of service jobs, including technician allocation, resource management, and material ordering.Confirm job completion, handle billing and invoicing, and resolve disputes promptly.Control costs to budgeted levels and minimise unproductive hours.Cost Management & Efficiency:Collaborate with the General Manager of Sales to set and achieve annual sales budgets.Report monthly progress and target new business opportunities for service growth.Regularly review charge-out rates, minimise rework and warranty issues, and manage invoicing for optimal returns.Develop and implement systems and lean manufacturing practices to improve service efficiency.Customer Support & Relationship Management:Interface with customers and technicians to plan and repair equipment.Address complaints, recommend improvements, and maintain strong customer rapport.Conduct regular visits to key customers, franchises, and suppliers to ensure long-term relationships.Product Expertise:Interpret customer requirements for crane parts and services and support the Hiab team with technical matters.Manage stock levels, generate stock orders, and stay updated on product knowledge.Share expertise with TRT employees and attend relevant training and seminars.Staff Support & Development:Oversee technicians' performance and ensure accountability for chargeable hours.Provide leadership, hands-on training, and support to the Crane Service Team.Develop staff through planned training, succession planning, and strong working relationships with other departments.Qualifications:Proven experience in crane service management or a similar role.Strong organisational and logistical skills with a focus on cost management and efficiency.Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities.In-depth product knowledge and technical expertise in cranes and related equipment.Leadership skills with a commitment to staff development and team performance.Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and other departments.Why Join TRT?Innovative Environment: Leverage cutting-edge tools and techniques to drive service excellence.Professional Growth: Contribute to strategic planning and professional development in a dynamic role.Impactful Leadership: Lead a dedicated team and play a key role in shaping the future of our crane service operations.
