Court Victim Advisor This is a permanent, full-time position based at the Manukau District Court Te Haeata/The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and adaptable person who has the necessary specialist knowledge, skills and experience to make a major contribution to assisting victims of crime through the court process.
You'll make an enormous difference to the victims through what you do.
You will keep victims updated on the progress of their case and help them participate effectively in the Criminal Justice System.
The role requires you to demonstrate: * Resilience when it comes to working with people * A calm nature and an ability to relate to people * Ability to enjoy the challenges of working with stakeholders and with victims who have been affected by serious crime, primarily family violence.

We are looking for someone who reflects the local community we are serving and who can effectively assist Te Tahu o te Ture in honouring our commitment to the people of Aotearoa.
To be successful in this role, you will: * Be a confident communicator with sound judgment * Have strong abilities in creating and maintaining effective relationships * Possess cultural awareness and competencies to be able to work with victims and their whanau who are from diverse backgrounds * Have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in the family violence sector is desirable.

Utu a-tau/Salary The appointing salary for this role will be between $72,634 and $100,846 based on skills and experience.
