This will be an overview of your role:
Engage and build relationships with a diverse range of peopleSecurity screening, operate and maintain CCTV and electronic access control systemsInteract with other agencies and stakeholders such as Police, Corrections, lawyers, and Judicial officers to ensure safe court proceedingsPatrol public areas, carry out building security checks, respond to duress alarm activations, identify, mitigate, respond, and report security, health, and safety threats and incidentsFollow standard operating procedures for Covid-19 ResponseCustomer service, Security, Defence, or Government experience is desired but not essential as full training will be providedConfident with technologyExperience in de-escalating conflictPhysically able to engage in full contact Officer safety trainingHold a full, clean New Zealand driver's license and clean criminal recordKnowledge of Te Ao Maori, Te Reo, and Tikanga is desired but not essentialThis is a 40-hour, Monday to Friday role with paid overtime available when extra cover is required.

The remuneration band for this role is $58,729 to $80,794 – the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
