This will be an overview of your role : Engage and build relationships with a diverse range of peopleSecurity screening, operate and maintain CCTV and electronic access control systemsInteracting with other agencies and stakeholders such as Police, Corrections, lawyers, Judicial officers to ensure safe court proceedingsPatrol public areas, carry out building security checks, respond to duress alarm activations, identify, mitigate, respond, and report security, health and safety threats and incidentsFollow standard operating procedures for Covid-19 Responsepukenga / Skills and Experience Customer service, Security, Defence or Government experience is desired but not essential as full training will be providedConfident with technologyExperience of de-escalating conflictPhysically able to engage in full contact Officer safety trainingHold full, clean New Zealand drivers' licence and clean criminal recordKnowledge of Te Ao Maori, Te Reo and Tikanga is desired but not essential.Benefits Create, develop, and manage a diverse group of peopleA challenging and diverse working environmentHealth, safety and security training and qualification fully fundedLeadership opportunities and courses to grow and developFull induction and training programme paid forThis is a 40 hour, Monday to Friday role with paid overtime available when extra cover is required.

Utu a-tau / Salary The remuneration band for this role is $58,729 to $80,794 – the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
