Court Registry Officer at NZ Ministry of Justice, WaikatoCourt Registry Officer, Huntly District Court / Central Region Permanent, Full Time We are looking for some talented individuals to come join our District Court as a Court Registry Officer in Huntly.
Te Haeata/The Opportunity As a Court Registry Officer, you will work with a team responsible for the successful operation of the Court. Each day is different, and you will be required to think on your feet and be comfortable multi-tasking. You will be able to communicate confidently with Judges within the courtroom and their chambers, as well as other members of the judiciary.
Responsibilities: Liaise with numerous stakeholders, including Judges, Police, Corrections, and lawyers.Learn, interpret, and understand legislation.Excel in customer service, case management, and court taking.No candidate will meet every single desired qualification. You will be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills, quality decision-making, be solutions-focused, and have the personal confidence and resilience to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
To be successful, you will need to be: Detail-oriented and observant: The court has many different processes, and case information needs to be accurate.Self-aware: Our participants are unique, and you will be confident working, individually and as a team, across various situations.Able to multi-task: Some of our processes are repetitive, so you will be able to manage conflicting priorities and move from one task to another quickly.Resilient: As a Court Registry Officer, you might work on sensitive cases, sometimes at high volume.You will need a full New Zealand driver's licence as you will also travel to other courts.

The remuneration band for this role is $58,729 to $80,794. The appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
