Job Description Court Registry Officer Employment CourtPermanent Full TimeThe Employment Court is looking for a Court Registry Officer in our Auckland office.
Te Haeata/The OpportunityIn this role you will work with a team responsible for the successful operation of the Court.
You will be coming into a fast-changing environment that will require a high level of agility and resiliency.The tasks include but are not limited to:Case management and customer service: You will be responsible for managing Court cases from filing to disposition which includes:Receiving and processing documentsProviding excellent and highly organised case management processes to ensure cases are heard in a timely and effortless mannerLiaise with legal profession and parties regarding steps in the proceedingsProviding up to date information to Judges and parties of the status of the casesEnsuring case files and electronic case management system are in order and up-to dateCompleting actions required following hearings (including proof-reading of the judgments).Court taking: You will be responsible to facilitate running of the Court hearings which includes:Introducing Judges (in English and Te Reo Maori)Working closely with the Judges in the Courtroom and ChambersWorking closely with hearing participants, counsel, and partiesGeneral administration of the CourtYou may also be required to travel as part of this role.Scheduling: You will be responsible for planning the events for the cases, which includes:Identify and plan steps in the proceedings towards hearingsLiaising with the Judges and the parties to ensure preparedness for the eventsOffice administration:Support the team with general office administration O pukenga/Skills and ExperienceOur customers are diverse, and our workforce reflects this.
This role is no different and would suit a variety of backgrounds.Tertiary qualification in law or relevant work experience is advantage.
You will have strong interpersonal skills that will support your work with the Judges, but also be capable of dealing with legal profession and self-represented parties.
An ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
Well-developed written and oral communication skill is prerequisite.

Utu a-tau/SalaryThe remuneration band for this role is between $58,729 and $80,794 and are dependent on skills and experience.
