About the Role
Reporting to the Fleet and Distribution Services Coordinator, Ventia has an exciting opportunity for a Courier Driver / Security Person to join our team based at Palmerston North Hospital. You will be responsible for the daily delivery of items at the Central Alliance Hospital and areas of operations. This is a part-time position, with 28 hours total across Monday to Friday (5.6 hours per day).
Responsibilities:
• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to patients, DHB staff, and facilities in a safe, timely manner
• Ensuring manifest documentation is completed correctly and reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, and the customer is satisfied
• Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and escalating complaints from clients
• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries
About You
• A Full Class 1 Driver's Licence and a clean safe driving record
• Have a minimum of 2 vaccinations and 1 booster shot against COVID-19, as this role is working in the public health sector
• Experience in courier or logistics work will be highly regarded
• Experience working in a healthcare environment will be advantageous
