With a strong commitment to innovation in hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid transfer, and motion control, our client enhances productivity and efficiency for its customers through advanced technology and engineering excellence.About the Role:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Sales Manager to lead sales and operations in New Zealand. In this pivotal role, you will drive sales growth and operational excellence across the region. As the Country Sales Manager, you will lead by example, inspiring territory managers and distributors to achieve outstanding results. Your focus will be on expanding sales volume and improving profit margins across both new and existing accounts, demonstrating a hands-on approach and strong leadership. You will be essential in guiding the sales team to exceed national sales targets, ensuring the effective distribution of our clients products, such as industrial and mobile hydraulics, valves and actuators, and industrial hose and fittings. Your efforts will propel their market position in New Zealand to new heights through sustainable and strategic agreements with distributors and customers.Key Responsibilities:Drive top-line sales and profitability, ensuring targets are consistently met or exceeded.Lead, mentor, and motivate a skilled sales team, including four sales staff and one operations manager.Identify and develop new business opportunities, maintaining and growing relationships with key customers and distributors.Formulate and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for all products in New Zealand.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements within the hydraulics, pneumatics, and motion control industries.Ideal Candidate Profile:Experience:Extensive experience in hands-on sales, marketing, and product management, particularly in fluid power, motion control, or automation sectors.A proven track record in sales and operational leadership.Deep technical knowledge of products, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motion control, and fluid transfer technologies.Experience with franchising is an advantage but not a requirement.Demonstrated leadership skills with a strong strategic mindset.Skills:Ability to manage, inspire, and develop a high-performing sales team.Technically skilled and commercially astute, with a comprehensive understanding of motion and control technologies.Strong understanding of cost accounting and its practical applications in sales and operational environments.Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Innovative and committed to lean enterprise principles and continuous improvement.Take the next step in your career – Apply now.
