Do you have a passion for warehousing and retail, with previous experience in the electrical industry? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Counter Sales/Warehouse person to join our team in Gisborne. Reporting to the Branch Manager, your role is crucial as the initial contact for many of our customers over the phone and in person, combining responsibilities for both Counter Sales and Warehouse duties to ensure our customers get the right product and experience an exceptional level of service every time they deal with Ideal.
You'll be willing to get stuck in with all aspects of counter sales and warehousing in our branch. We work together as a team and in doing so, we chip in wherever possible just to get the job done.
Key Responsibilities:
Serving customers and generating sales (via counter, phone, email)
Sorting customer pricing and account queries, returns and credits
Organising transfers of incoming goods and distribution of products
Assisting with and maintaining the stock in the showroom and on shelves
Invoicing accurately and on-time. Follow up on any purchase orders
Receiving, unpacking, inspecting incoming goods and updating system
Contributing and supporting the stock-take process
Helping with the delivery of goods (where necessary) to customers/site
Ensuring Health & Safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
The hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 5.00pm.
