Our Gover Street branch is seeking an empathetic, experienced Counsellor to really make their mark in face-to-face support for our valued clients. This is a generalist role that requires the ideal candidate to have experience in grief intervention, couples counselling, addiction, child and adolescent issues to name a few.
We will provide the tools you need to succeed for successful client support whilst driving initiatives to grow your skills.
Main responsibilities:
Deliver focused interventions so that clients ace coping mechanisms at work and life
Visit worksites to provide support after an event disruption
Deliver counselling services via in-person, video and telehealth
Deliver training to customer employees

The ideal candidate:
A strong sense of others – we're looking for sensitivity and empathy as traits
Tertiary level Counselling or related qualification (Level 7 min)
Knowledge of evidence-based therapy models e.g. SFT, CBT, FACT
Current registration and APC with NZAC, NZCCA, DAPAANZ, SWRB
Experience in trauma intervention, psychological first-aid
For Counsellors based overseas:
As an accredited employer we will provide assistance in the AEWV process
Support in gaining registration with the NZ Association of Counsellors
Assistance in helping you settle into New Zealand
