Empower young lives - join a dynamic team as a Counsellor in South Auckland and make a lasting impact!CounsellorSouth & East AucklandSalary up to $90k per annum, depending on experienceref:#carejobz1We are seeking experienced professionals to join our client's dynamic team, providing essential counselling services to youth aged 12-24 across the South Auckland region.About the Role:As a Counsellor, you will be working closely with youth, offering counselling sessions to help them navigate challenges and support their personal development.We have two positions available:Full-Time: 40 hours per weekPart-Time: 20 hours per weekBoth roles offer flexibility in start and finish times, Monday to Friday.Key Responsibilities:Facilitate face-to-face or video counselling sessions with youth (ages 12-24).Conduct telehealth sessions when appropriate, including during Covid-19 restrictions.Involve families in the therapeutic process when suitable.Ensure all sessions, assessments, and documentation are completed in accordance with professional guidelines and procedures.Maintain ethical practice in line with your professional body's code of ethics (NZAC, NZCCA, or similar).Participate in regular supervision and ongoing professional development.Complete up to 20 client sessions per week for full-time (with administrative time allocated).What You'll Bring:Registration with NZAC, NZCCA, the Psychotherapy Association, or a similar professional body. If provisionally registered, you must be actively working towards full registration.Experience working with youth aged 12-24 and a strong understanding of youth development practices.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and their families where appropriate.Strong time management and administrative skills, ensuring accurate and timely completion of client notes, risk assessments, and session reviews.An understanding of cultural competency, particularly in relation to working with Maori and Pasifika communities.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and consult with supervisors and team members regarding client risk and safety concerns.What our Client can Offer:Competitive salary range: $75,000 - $90,000 per annum (based on experience and qualifications).A supportive and flexible work environment with opportunities for professional growth.Regular clinical supervision and access to ongoing professional development.The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of people in your community.Simply apply with your CV, and the Carejobz Recruitment team will be in touch for a chat.
