Add expected salary to your profile for insights.Working within the Roading team, you will be responsible for effectively managing and coordinating road corridor access and traffic management in the Ashburton district.Key Responsibilities:Undertake the duties and responsibilities of the Road Corridor Manager and operate the Corridor Access Request (CAR) system.Analyse and evaluate Traffic Management Plans and Corridor Access Requests.Issue Works Access Permits and set special conditions to enforce compliance with the Infrastructure Development Code.Manage liaison meetings with Utility Operators and Contractors about temporary traffic management.Undertake inspections of permitted works and activities within the road corridor for compliance.Work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships and responding to enquiries in a timely manner.Who are we looking for?You will be a confident communicator with a strong customer focus and will have the ability to build and foster strong internal and external stakeholder relationships. You will have the skills and knowledge to engage and educate stakeholders in relation to temporary traffic management.You will have at least three years' relevant experience, preferably in a construction/civil engineering environment and will hold relevant qualifications for TTM operations, such as STMS Cat A & Cat B Non-practicing and/or TTM Planner – Non-Practicing. You will have extensive knowledge of the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (CoPTTM), NZ Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (NZGTTM) and National Code of Practice for Utility Operators' Access to the Transport Corridor.If you are enthusiastic, collaborative and committed to making a positive contribution to our district, then this is the opportunity for you!What we can offer youYou will work in a friendly atmosphere and in a role that offers both challenge and variety.
