The right to work in New Zealand or a Work Visa with at least 12 months remainingA full New Zealand Driver Licence (or eligible on a Restricted with 3 or less months left to obtain Full, or a Full International Licence)To declare any conflicts of interest and previous convictions. Exempt from Clean Slate and all conviction history is releasedThe ability to pass a drug testBe medically fit for employment and complete a Medical Assessment and Physical Readiness AssessmentOur prisons operate 24/7 - applicants must be able to work shifts on a rotating roster.

We offer fully paid training, starting with a one-week induction at Hawkes Bay Regional Prison, followed by 5 weeks of training at our National Training Centre in Trentham, Wellington, and then 5 weeks back at Hawkes Bay before graduating. Your learning journey will continue with professional practice and development support, along with a clear pathway to career progression.
In return you'll get opportunities for professional development, promotion and the ability to gain a recognised qualification in Offender Management.
This role is base at Hawkes Bay Regional Prison in Hastings.
Starting salary of $65,019.Once in the role you have the opportunity to achieve national qualifications of varying levels which increase your salary. Level 3 ($69,697) and Level 4 ($75,213)
You also receive a Variable Shift Allowance in addition to your salary.
