As a well-trained Reintegration Officer (otherwise known as Corrections Officer) in the Justice & Immigration team, you'll make a positive impact by supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners within a secure facility, ensuring their safety, and supporting their reintegration journey. Working on a 24/7 roster, you'll contribute to the security of the facility while fostering a safe and respectful environment.Our Reintegration Officers make a positive impact by:Promoting and maintaining a safe and secure environmentReceiving prisoners into the facility, conducting searches, and supporting the daily activities and routines of the men, as well as escort duties within and outside the facilitySupervising and supporting prisoners in rehabilitation and reintegration programmesSubmitting accurate incident reports and maintaining administrative recordsBuilding positive relationships with prisoners, staff, and external agenciesSupervising prisoner activities and work programsActively participating in team meetings to enhance team cohesionTo be successful in this role you'll have:Available to attend an assessment centre, committed to completing the compliance process and start training on 26 February 2024Full Class 1 Driver LicenceAbility to work across a 24/7 schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidaysExperience or willingness to undertake NZQA Offender Management Level 3 trainingExcellent command of the English language as accurate incident report writing on a formal management platform is an integral part of this roleLife experience and life skills to support the men in our care on their reintegration journeyReliable, dependable, trustworthy team player with well-developed problem solving skills and the ability to make informed decisionsPhysical fitness to meet the demands of the roleAs a fast-growing and successful global company, Serco's services span across the areas of Justice, Immigration, Defence, Space, Customer Services, Health, and Urban Mobility.
