About us:
Operating since 1994, Home Support North (HSN) is the largest provider of home and community support in Northland. We have offices in Whangarei and Kerikeri with a staff compliment of approximately 300. We are contracted to the Ministry of Health, Northland District Health Board, Ministry of Disabled People (Whaikaha) and ACC to supply home based support (home care and personal care) to disabled people of all ages in Northland. The majority of our clients are over 65 years old and have an age-related disability.
About the role :
The role is responsible for the leadership of the Corporate Services team, providing strategic and operational advice and direction. You will manage all financial information for statutory and management reporting, forecasts and budgets and ensure compliance with all relevant policies. The role ensures delivery of all other work streams in relation to the Corporate Services Team, including Accounts & Payroll, Human Resources, Health & Safety, Facilities.
About you
Exemplary track record of successful and sustained senior management and/or general management and operational delivery in a healthcare setting.
A working knowledge of project methodologies and change management principles.
Experience in producing project plans, status reports and other project artefacts.
Experience working in the NFP sector.
Ability to understand the strategic direction, structure and issues affecting the organisation.
Ability to understand business processes and requirements.
Excellent prioritisation skills, ability to use initiative, work under pressure and meet deadlines in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.
Excellent relationship management and influencing skills with the ability to gain support and cooperation from stakeholders, superiors and colleagues to accomplish goals.
Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to create, edit and proof-read clear and concise messages for a wide audience across multiple mediums including online, written reports, documentation and presentation materials.
Ability to solve issues and problems based on knowledge and experience.
Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
A developed understanding of biculturalism and multiculturalism.
To be successful in this role you will hold:
A Business Degree such as BBus or BCom, or training and experience to degree level or equivalent.
In depth knowledge in management disciplines including Finance and Human Resources.
Understanding of relevant legislation and ability to have regard for it.
A high degree of computer literacy including MS Office.
A full and current Drivers Licence.
