We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to step into the Corporate Planning Advisor role.
In this role you will lead the development of key Council documents like the Long-Term Plan, Annual Plan, and Pre-Election Report.
You'll also oversee community engagement processes and support strategic planning across departments.

This is a one-year fixed-term opportunity.
You'll recognise the importance of the role as a Treaty partner and understand how that underpins Gisborne District Council's work.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation, development, and production of the Council's Long Term Plan, Annual Plan, and Pre-Election Report.
Work collaboratively across the organisation to support the integration and alignment of key Council policies, strategies, and business plans with input from Council's technical experts.
Develop opportunities to improve the effectiveness of planning in partnership with the Performance Team.
Minimum Requirements: A relevant tertiary qualification and technical competence in corporate planning, policy or project management or equivalent experience.
A proven record of project coordination and the ability to meet statutory and project deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work.
A working knowledge of the local government environment - functions, activities, and legislation.
Highly effective written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated initiative and the ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
Exceptionally strong relationship and interpersonal skills.
