The Opportunity
Dunedin City Council is seeking a Corporate Planner. We are searching for a positive and proactive individual who will work well within a team environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help shape our organisation as we grow Dunedin to be "one of the world's great small cities". You will have a strong understanding of planning processes with high attention to detail and accuracy. A background in corporate planning experience, project management and knowledge of policy and strategic development is essential. Experience in local government is also essential, and an ability to demonstrate an understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi / Te Tiriti o Waitangi is highly desirable.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

5+ years proven experience working in a demanding environment
Strong experience in project management including leading projects
A relevant tertiary qualification
Solid experience in working with people in complex projects
Strong critical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
A 'can do' attitude and be self-motivated

Salary range: $103,211 - $121,425
