Core Clinician Physiotherapist, Community Stroke Rehabilitation/Assessment, Treatment & Rehabil[...]

Details of the offer

Permanent, Part time - 28 hours per week (0.7FTE)
Remuneration as per PSA Allied Health MECA guidelines (between step 1 - 10)
The Community Stroke Rehabilitation (CSR) and the Assessment, Treatment & Rehabilitation (AT&R) team are seeking an experienced physiotherapist.
CSR provides stroke specialist rehabilitation in the clients' own homes with a focus on community reintegration and promotion of self-management. You will be a key member of an interdisciplinary team using your expertise in assessment and clinical interventions to deliver rehabilitation including an early supported discharge model of care. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a dynamic team, leading the delivery of stroke rehabilitation in the community.
As one of a team of physiotherapists in AT&R, you will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of a clinically and culturally diverse client group. You will manage an outpatient caseload of neurological and vestibular rehabilitation with occasional input to amputee rehabilitation.
You will be professionally supported by a section head and other experienced physiotherapists as well as the wider team of Occupational Therapists, Rehab Assistants, Needs Co-ordinator, Speech and Language Therapists, Social workers, Nurses, Psychologists, Dieticians and Doctors.
Counties Manukau District is committed to enabling our patients to be self-managers and you will be supported to work collaboratively with patients, carers and other health care professionals. There is scope for service development and implementing projects to improve the care of your patients. Ideally, you will be able to work autonomously, as well as part of an inter-disciplinary team, and ongoing support will be provided as required. Counties Manukau fully supports ongoing education and development of all employees including regular supervision and in-services.
So, if you are looking for a challenging, fun, and friendly place to work offering you a supportive working environment we would like to hear from you.
