About the team The Tactical Engineering team provides critical support for Transpower's planning and delivery functions.
Within this team, the Substation Standards group ensures our engineering standards, specifications, and design drawings are robust and fit for purpose.
Their work ensures the integrity of our infrastructure and supports the reliable and safe delivery of energy across Aotearoa.
About the opportunity As the Standards Coordinator, you'll oversee the full review process for controlled documents, helping to improve efficiency and maintain high standards.
By managing the administrative side of document updates, you'll allow experts to focus on their technical work while making improvements to processes, tools, and templates.
Key responsibilities include: Coordinating the lifecycle of standards, specifications, and design drawings.Facilitating updates and ensuring documents meet review and approval requirements.Providing training and support to authors, reviewers, and approvers.Financial forecasting and tracking of group spend.Developing reports and maintaining tools like SharePoint and Microsoft Power Automate.Supporting team initiatives and standards-related projects across Tactical Engineering.You'll work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and engineering consultants, ensuring that standards meet legislative changes and the organisation's needs.
About you You're highly organised and skilled at managing multiple tasks while ensuring quality outcomes.
You enjoy supporting others and streamlining processes to improve efficiency.
To be considered your CV and cover letter will demonstrate: Experience in a coordination role within a large and/or complex organisation.Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Microsoft 365.Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical professionals and staff of all levels.A passion for continuous improvement and driving coordination efficiency.Desirable but not essential is experience in Power BI and/or Power Automate and experience in project coordination.Join us at Transpower Aotearoa is powered by the people who work here.
