Coolstore Team Leader

We're looking for a motivated Coolstore Team Leader to join our team in Edgecumbe on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Coolstore Manager, you will assist with leading, supporting and training a team of Coolstore forklift operators to ensure best practice and safety procedures are always followed. To be effective in this role, you will need to be enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile.
Successful applicants will need to have the ability to multi-task, retain information and continuously ensure information is being conveyed accurately to ensure the team are working on top priorities and standard checks are being completed.
You will also need:
To demonstrate a strong awareness and focus on health and safety responsibilities.
To enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, where you can problem solve andreact quickly to changing circumstances.
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills and able to work effectively within a diverse workforce.
To be able to make good decisions when working under pressure.
A positive attitude, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Flexibility to work sometimes long hours during our busy seasons (which will include weekends).
Although having prior experience in the Kiwifruit industry and a forklift licence is advantageous, it is not a pre-requisite as your ability to lead people will surpass.
