Our Trades Academy works with learners from year 11 to year 12, providing them with a transition between secondary and tertiary and an opportunity to finish school with a minimum of NCEA level 2 and credits towards a nationally recognized trade qualification from MIT.Position OverviewThe School of Hospitality and Tourism is seeking a part-time lecturer who is highly motivated, creative, and initiative-driven to deliver our Cookery Hospitality Trades Academy courses in an innovative way that will engage our young learners from various schools in the South Auckland community.Ideally, you bring:A knowledge of hospitality, i.e., barista, culinary skills, and food and beverage service.Manaakitanga and the ability to relate and engage with our secondary school students.Teaching experience and knowledge of teaching and assessing unit standards in Hospitality, accompanied by knowledge of the industry.Working ConditionsThis position will be based at the Otara Campus, working Mondays for the first semester and Thursdays for the second semester.
