Service: In House Support Services
Contract: Fixed-term, full time (maternity cover)
Salary: $52,000 - $62,000
Korero mo te turanga – About the role This position is full time rostered and rotating including weekends. Shifts are 9am to 5.30pm and 6.30am to 3.00pm, 5 days a week.
The role involves cooking all aspects of the patient menu including main meals, desserts, baking, soups and vegetables. This is a quantity cooking kitchen where meals are served on a trayline system. You must be able to work self-directed.
Hutt Hospital food service provides approximately 1000 meals each day. All meals are prepared and served fresh onsite. We provide quality meals to our patients, staff, visitors and Meals on Wheels recipients.
Mo to matou ropu – About our team We are a team of 38 diverse people who take pride in providing quality, tasty meals to our patients, staff and visitors. Our work day is busy but we like to have a laugh with each other as we work. We encourage a team environment.
